On 16 March 2023, Impact Boards EM hosted an online roundtable to discuss "Corporate Governance in Emerging Markets: Key Red Flags to Watch Out for". The video recording is available to view for our members on our website.


Our panel of 6 experts - Alexander Picker (Chairman of the Supervisory Board, IPOTEKA BANK), Mauro Rodrigues da Cunha (Independent Director, Vale, Klabin), Jyrki Talvitie (Board Member, Georgia Capital plc), David Risser (Managing Director, Nestor Advisors - a Morrow Sodali Company), Brendan Sheehan (VP – Senior Credit Officer, ESG, Moody’s Investors Service) and Fedor Teselkin (Principal Consultant, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer) - discussed the red flags that Board members must watch out on corporate governance, their fiduciary duties and financial manipulation risks among other topics. They suggested actions that directors could take to tackle such risks.
