The second webinar in the Fall Webinar Your Elevator Pitch, will take place on 2 October 2025, 13:00 - 14:00 UK time. This will be followed by one further webinar CV and Networking on 23 October.

What are the Fall Webinar Series?

The Fall Webinar Series is a series of 3 webinars, 60 mins each, geared towards our Aspiring Directors' Circle members i.e. aspiring board directors who are looking to start their non-executive career with a board appointment in parallel with their executive role or embarking on a Portfolio Career focused on non-executive appointments. 

When starting your corporate non-executive career, aspiring board directors will be repeatedly told two things. Firstly, the hardest part is to secure your first role and secondly, to secure that first role networking will be essential. Our Fall Webinar Series is designed to help our Aspiring Directors' Circle members become networking ready. The series will cover the key topics and issues you will need to think through to maximise the chances of your future networking being successful.

What will be covered in Webinar 2 – Your Elevator Pitch?

With motives clarified, a preparation plan drawn up and a career review completed following Webinar 1, you are ready to prepare your positioning as a NED.

The second webinar is focused on helping you achieve this. The outcome of this session is for you to have an “elevator pitch”. This is essential for your networking. 

Keeping to the following pitching “mantras”, we will introduce you to the concept of focused supply to help you craft your pitch. 

• Concise and precise 

• Specificity attracts 

• Be sure of what you want 

The objective is to have a form of words that in conversation is no more than 30 secs and in writing is the 75 words at the top of your CV. 

Using a proven template and guidelines, we will walk you through how to craft your pitch. The template and guidelines cater for both aspiring portfolio NEDs and those executives looking for a NED role alongside their current executive position.
